Crimes and Misdemeanors" was nearly a ringer for Viktor
Frankl. But Levy, after sharing some trenchant observations about love and the human condition, relinquished the purpose-driven life and committed suicide. Alas. (His official view was that, although we weren't made for happiness, most of us find a way to persevere.)
